I would like to have a virtual Buttplug device to connect to and get metrics out of. I would combine that with something like mcphost to control tool-calling LLM via Ollama. Then we'd apply various prompts and ensure the virtual device output matches expected output. This could be driven but a GitHub action.

Ok, so this is an interesting use case because most times people want visual output of devices, where in this case it sounds like you might want automated for programmatic checking. That's actually possible now, through our Websocket Device System. When a buttplug server spins up, you can have it open a websocket server on the device end of things, then connect clients into that server that act as a sort of software device.
