Commit+ Code of Conduct

Our Commitment

We are committed to making participation in the Commit+ community a welcoming, respectful, and harassment-free experience for everyone, regardless of age, body size, disability, ethnicity, sex characteristics, gender identity and expression, level of experience, education, socioeconomic status, nationality, personal appearance, race, caste, color, religion, or sexual identity and orientation.

We pledge to act and interact in ways that contribute to an open, inclusive, and healthy community.

Expected Behavior

Examples of behavior that contributes to a positive community include:

  • Showing empathy, patience, and respect toward other people.
  • Giving and accepting constructive feedback with a focus on the work.
  • Respecting differing viewpoints, experiences, and technical preferences.
  • Taking responsibility for mistakes, apologizing when appropriate, and learning from the experience.
  • Prioritizing the health of the community and the project over individual preferences.
  • Keeping bug reports, discussions, reviews, and pull requests clear and relevant.

Unacceptable Behavior

Unacceptable behavior includes:

  • Harassment, intimidation, threats, stalking, or sustained disruption.
  • Discriminatory, insulting, demeaning, or derogatory comments.
  • Sexualized language, imagery, or unwanted sexual attention.
  • Trolling, personal or political attacks, and inflammatory comments unrelated to the project.
  • Publishing another person's private information, including physical or email addresses, without explicit permission.
  • Deliberately exposing credentials, private repository content, security reports, or other sensitive data.
  • Pressuring others to disclose personal information or communicate outside project channels.
  • Any other conduct that would reasonably be considered inappropriate in a professional setting.

Scope

This Code of Conduct applies in all Commit+ project spaces, including issues, pull requests, discussions, reviews, release channels, and other official communication. It also applies when someone is publicly representing the project, such as by using an official account, speaking on behalf of Commit+, or participating in an event as a project representative.

Reporting

Report abusive, harassing, or otherwise unacceptable behavior privately to trantienthanh2412@gmail.com. Do not open a public issue containing personal, sensitive, or security-related details.

Please include the relevant links or context and a description of what happened. Project maintainers will review reports promptly and fairly, protect the privacy and safety of reporters as much as possible, and avoid conflicts of interest when assigning a report for review.

For product security vulnerabilities, follow the separate Security Policy.

Enforcement

Project maintainers are responsible for clarifying and enforcing these standards. They may remove, edit, or reject comments, commits, code, issues, pull requests, and other contributions that conflict with this Code of Conduct.

Depending on the nature, impact, and history of the behavior, maintainers may take one or more of the following actions:

  1. Correction — A private explanation of the violation and the behavior expected going forward.
  2. Warning — A formal warning with clear consequences for continued behavior.
  3. Temporary restriction — A temporary ban from project interaction or communication.
  4. Permanent restriction — Permanent removal from project spaces and community interaction.

Retaliation against anyone who reports an incident or participates in an investigation is itself a violation of this Code of Conduct.
