This repository is licensed under the Apache License, Version 2.0. Apache-2.0 Section 3 grants you a patent license, from each contributor, for the code in this repository, on the terms stated in that license.
Separately, Citrate Inc. holds — and reserves — patent rights in mechanisms, designs, protocols, architectures, and interfaces of the broader Citrate Network, including but not limited to:
- consensus mechanisms (GhostDAG-based BlockDAG ordering variants);
- AI-native EVM precompile interfaces (on-chain model inference, embedding, and vector-search primitives, with their gas-metering and attestation flows);
- zero-knowledge verifiable-compute flows and verifier-precompile interfaces;
- embedded-node application architecture;
- agent-harness architecture; and
- metered, x402-paid inference settlement flows.
Nothing in this Apache-2.0 repository grants any license to those broader patented mechanisms beyond the patent license that Apache-2.0 Section 3 provides for this repository's code. Commercial or production use that practices the reserved mechanisms — for example, operating a public, hosted, managed, or white-labeled Citrate network — may require a separate written patent license from Citrate Inc.
