馃悶 Audio stream initialization error when recording video on Windows

Description

When starting a video recording on Windows, Cap fails during audio initialization and shows an error related to an unsupported audio stream configuration.

Video capture itself works correctly, but recording cannot start if audio is enabled.

Error message

setup_audio_sources: BuildStream:
The requested stream configuration is not supported by the device.

Reproduction

  1. Open Cap on Windows
  2. Select Plantronics 3220 as the microphone
  3. Enable microphone audio (with or without system audio)
  4. Start video recording
  5. The error appears immediately and recording does not start

Expected behavior

Cap should start video recording successfully using the Plantronics 3220 microphone, or gracefully fall back to a supported audio configuration.

Actual behavior

Recording fails before video capture begins due to an audio stream configuration error.

Additional Context

  • Cap version: (add version)
  • Operating system: Windows 11
  • Audio device: Plantronics 3220 (USB headset)
  • Audio driver: Windows default USB Audio driver
  • The issue occurs only when audio is enabled
  • Disabling audio allows video recording to work correctly
