Blockchain Lab Open Data API

Blockchain Lab Open Data API

Free, static, CORS-enabled JSON datasets for blockchain builders, rebuilt nightly from public sources. No API key, no backend, no rate limit beyond GitHub Pages.

Versioning: /v1/ path, semver schema_version in every envelope, JSON Schema per dataset, nightly job refuses to publish data that fails validation. See CHANGELOG.md.

How it works

scripts/build.mjs (Node 20, zero dependencies) runs nightly in GitHub Actions, fetches each public source, normalises it and commits v1/*.json. If a source fails, the previous file is kept and flagged stale in index.json.

Composes with

Versioning & stability: stable. Path-versioned (/v1/). Every envelope carries a semver schema_version; breaking changes bump the major and get a new path. The nightly job refuses to publish data that fails its JSON Schema; if a source fails, the previous file is kept and flagged stale in index.json. See CHANGELOG.md.

Licence

Code: MIT. Data: belongs to each named source — check its terms. Glossary text © Blockchain Lab; please attribute and link blockchainlab.com.

Configuration

None for consumers: static JSON over GitHub Pages with Access-Control-Allow-Origin: *, no key, no rate-limit token. The nightly build uses only public sources and the default GITHUB_TOKEN.
